Lyndsey Burcina (Baba-Renenger)
Managing Partner
Lyndsey’s roots in agriculture trace back to her great-grandparents, Miye and Nobuzo Baba, founders of Baba Farm and members of the pioneering Japanese-American farming community of Cortez in Stanislaus County. Their agricultural legacy, including generations of involvement with Blue Diamond Growers, continues to influence Lyndsey’s approach to business, leadership, and the responsibility that comes with carrying a family enterprise forward.
Lyndsey studied Justice and Ethics through Harvard University and holds a certificate in Government Ethics. She is also a Certified Restorative Justice Practitioner and experienced curriculum developer. She began working in restorative justice as a teenager, developing programs for schools and educational communities centered on accountability, conflict resolution, relationship building, and repairing harm. Her academic study of justice and ethics, combined with years of practical experience, helped shape her belief that restorative practices can extend well beyond educational settings and provide meaningful tools for businesses, institutions, and entire industries.
Her career has since spanned agriculture, government and public policy, political campaign management, education, media, construction, and corporate disaster restoration. Within the construction and disaster restoration industries, Lyndsey has focused on corporate operations, business development, organizational relationships, and the challenges that arise when companies are responsible for helping individuals and communities recover after significant loss. Her experience in the trades has also shaped her interest in strengthening communication, accountability, workplace culture, and relationships between leadership, employees, contractors, clients, and the communities they serve.
Today, Lyndsey is building upon her background in restorative justice to develop models specifically designed for corporate environments and the trades. Her work focuses on adapting restorative principles for organizational accountability, relationship building, conflict management, trust repair, and stronger workplace cultures. Her goal is to create practical systems that recognize the realities of construction and disaster restoration while giving companies better tools to address conflict, strengthen internal relationships, and build organizations worthy of the trust placed in them.
A former Miss California in the Miss Japanese-America Program, Lyndsey remains active in civic and community leadership. She serves on the Los Cien Sonoma County Board of Directors and as the Fifth District Commissioner on the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights. Across her work in agriculture, business, public service, restorative practices, construction, and disaster restoration, Lyndsey continues to focus on building stronger systems, stronger relationships, and organizations prepared to grow with accountability, integrity, and purpose.
Deborah Renenger
Managing Partner
Deborah is a proud alumna of Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University whose connection to agriculture has been shaped by years of hands-on experience, community involvement, and a genuine love for livestock and the people who care for them.
Her passion for agriculture is especially rooted in livestock. Through her many years of involvement with 4-H, Deborah has worked alongside young people and families raising, caring for, and showing animals while teaching the responsibility, patience, and work ethic that come with animal husbandry. She believes some of life’s most valuable lessons are learned in barns, show rings, pastures, and early mornings spent caring for something that depends on you.
Deborah brings that same practical approach to her work at Baba-Renenger Farms. With a professional background in finance and organization, she provides an important balance between the agricultural side of the business and the structure required to keep a growing operation moving forward. Her attention to detail, financial experience, and ability to bring order to complicated projects have made her an integral part of the company’s management and day-to-day operations.
Agriculture is also deeply personal to Deborah. She values the traditions that have sustained farming families for generations while recognizing the responsibility of preparing those operations for the future. Whether working through the details of a financial decision, helping organize a new project, supporting livestock programs, or simply stepping in wherever she is needed, Deborah approaches the work with consistency and a willingness to get her hands dirty.
Her commitment to her community has been recognized through nominations for the Sonoma County 4Cs Champions for Children Award, CVNL Volunteer of the Year, the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women’s Heart of Sonoma County Award, and the North Bay Business Journal’s Influential Women in Business Award. She continues to serve as a 4-H Co-Leader, remaining closely connected to agricultural education, livestock, and the next generation of young people finding their own place in agriculture.
At Baba-Renenger Farms, Deborah brings together two things she understands well: the heart it takes to care for agriculture and the discipline it takes to run a business. Her steady presence, financial background, organizational strengths, and family-first approach have made her an essential part of both the company’s operations and its future.
Colin Gilman
Senior Sustainability Fellow
Colin is a proud graduate of WyoTech and an experienced automotive industry professional with a strong background in mechanical systems, diagnostics, and equipment maintenance. His deep understanding of machinery and operations plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and long-term sustainability of Baba-Renenger Farms.
Known for his hands-on expertise and meticulous attention to detail, Colin brings an innovative, problem-solving mindset to every aspect of his work. Whether maintaining complex agricultural equipment or developing new mechanical solutions to improve productivity, he approaches each challenge with precision, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence.
Colin’s passion for continuous learning and his drive to master his craft embody the forward-thinking spirit of Baba-Renenger Farms. As a future leader within the organization, he is dedicated to advancing the farm’s legacy through innovation, sustainability, and the pursuit of operational excellence. His mechanical insight and steadfast work ethic help ensure that the farm not only thrives today but is well-positioned for success in the generations to come.
Corrine Gilman
Senior Agricultural Development Fellow
Corrine is currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science at the University of California, Davis, where she is expanding her expertise in livestock management, genetics, and sustainable agricultural practices. With a strong background in beef production and years of hands-on experience working with livestock, Corrine brings both technical knowledge and real-world insight to the team at Baba-Renenger Farms.
Her deep connection to agriculture began through her active involvement in 4-H and FFA, where she developed a lifelong passion for animal husbandry, leadership, and agricultural education. Today, she continues to share that passion as a 4-H Co-Leader, mentoring young members and inspiring the next generation of agricultural innovators.
